My partner and I had a fabulous lunch at the brand spankin’ new Five on Black. They are located at 325 North Higgins in a small but adorable space. Everything except the meats, Feijoada, and Pao De Queijo are vegan. We had a veggie bowl on a greens base, a side of collard greens, and the acai bowl. Both dishes were super tasty, moderately priced, and healthy(ish)! We will be posting pictures and a review soon.

Found and devoured at the Clark Fork River Market. Flathead Cherry Galette from The Jerily Baking Company.
If you’re heading through Spokane, WA this summer stop by Boots Bakery for a sweet treat, deli item, coffee, or mixed drink. It’s located on the Hip Strip (they have one too…so cute!) next to a local food co-op, Main Market, on 24 W. Main. Definitely try the vegan carrot cake. They top it with a thick cream cheese frosting and shredded coconut. It is heavenly. I also tried one of the deli dishes—cheesy pasta I think? Very tasty as well. Here’s a description of their bakery taken from their facebook page
